Rubber Division maintains the world class quality with the help of
well defined systems and procedures by the help of latest generation
production facilities and technical expertise.
Importance has been given to maintain end point trace ability of final
products.
A documented procedure for standardization of process Quality process aims to develop a process for producing component those contains finest level of Trace-ability. It is ensured by
– Codification of rubber compound easily identifiable according to the properties requirement of element
– System of incorporating applicable revision number in the compound
– Incorporation of batch number in rubber mix number
– Recording the rubber mix number used for making an element
– Naming the product element as Product serial number (or) Charge number
– Stamping the Charge number on non-rubberised metal part portion for making the element lifetime trace-able.
– Thereby generating the procedure for issuing rubber mix number and Charge number. |
Compounding Facilities
VTI contains mixing mill of high performance, reliable and process capable
• Capable of withstanding high load, fabricated with stainless steel frame, bolted rigidly into place
• New machines are amply dimensioned
• Effective roll nip adjustment system to provide a thin rubber compound sheet of about 0.5 mm or even less
• An effective control system with push button and pilot lights adjacent to main machine makes the mixing easier for the operators to operate.
• Attachment of Stock blender provides a fast cooling system preventing polymer degradation during mixing and making compound more scorch safety. At the same time the stock blender allow the chemicals to migrate uniformly allowing the mixing homogeneity
• An actuation of body bars in front as well as in the backside of roll can provide an emergency brake system ensuring maximum safety.

Moulding Facilities
• Automatic PLC control
• T-Slotted press platen for easy fixing of Top and Bottom plates of Transfer mould. Available Platen Sizes 400X400MM, 550X500MM, 700X700MM, 1000X1000MM
• Effective heating system with multiple digital displays
• Compact design with smooth and non-vibratory movement of press platen during mold opening and closing
• Top and Bottom core lifting facility
• Provision for degassing / bumping operation during cycle
• Automatic light indication with buzz after completion of cure time
• Just required platen size on the basis of mould dimension to avoid undue heat loss
• Controlled speed of travel during mould closing with minimum time required for achieving a pressure of 100 Bar during transfer

RHEOMETER- The quality control tool for rubber compound
• The Rheometer study the deformation of mixed rubber compound under application of heat and pressure. The instrument is used as a tool of developing of rubber compound, tool for quality control and value engineering
• The rubber compound changes from Plastic to Elastic mass through liquid state under application of heat and the corresponding torque is measured with respect to time during this phase change
• VTI- rubber unit utilizes the instrument for measuring
- The scorch safety period
- The Cure time
- The minimum Torque value
- The maximum torque
• VTI – rubber unit measures 100% batches in this instrument to ensure the batch quality and consistency

Dynamic Mechanical Analysis
• The instrument is used to determine
– Tan Delta of rubber compound
– Torsional deflection of sample specimen
– Cyclic testing for smaller element in a degree of deflection of ±10 Degree
Equipment for measuring Static Torsional deflection
• The instrument is used to determine
– Static deflection in Torsion at a specified torque for inspecting the quality of final product
